New Technology Integration Assists Industrial Companies Pursuing Digital Transformation
HANOVER, Md. – Dragos Inc., provider of the most trusted industrial cybersecurity platform and services, today announced that it has released an integration of the Dragos Platform with ServiceNow, enabling joint customers to expand visibility of Industrial Control System/Operational Technology (ICS/OT) assets in support of companies undertaking digital transformation initiatives.
Threats to industrial systems such as Xenotime are demonstrating an increase in frequency and sophistication of attacks targeting ICS that can have a significant impact on business operations. This requires security teams to ensure that effective threat detection covers the entire enterprise of IT and OT networks while leveraging existing tools and budgets.
The Dragos Platform is designed for industrial networks and provides asset discovery, threat detection, and incident response capabilities. Through the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) integration with ServiceNow, joint customers can now utilize the comprehensive asset discovery from the Dragos Platform to accurately catalog industrial devices alongside existing enterprise assets.
“Dragos recognizes that cybersecurity teams require different tools to complete their mission,” said Matt Cowell, Senior Director Business Development of Dragos, ”the Dragos Platform integration with ServiceNow enables joint customers to get maximum value from their technology investments by easily expanding existing workflows and processes into the ICS/OT environment.”
ServiceNow is a cloud-based platform that allows users to manage digital workflows for enterprise operations and is often used in security operations to manage incident response cases and service desk tickets. ServiceNow users can utilize the Dragos Platform to automatically reveal non-traditional enterprise assets such as industrial controllers (Programmable Logic Controllers – PLC’s, Distributed Control Systems – DCS’s) helping drive accurate asset inventory for those pursuing IT/OT convergence. The additional knowledge gained about OT assets allows ServiceNow users to make better-informed workflow decisions based on the asset type, locations, and function resulting in improved overall efficiency.
