It may only be September, but here at Dragos we are gearing up for our annual Dragos Industrial Security Conference (DISC) event on Saturday, November 5, 2022. At DISC 2022, we’ll be sharing our best research from the past year in a full day of ICS/OT cybersecurity presentations. If you’re an industrial asset owner and operator, you won’t want to miss attending this free event. You can register your interest at: dragos.com/disc.
And, you won’t want to miss the Dragos Capture the Flag (CTF) event being held from November 2, 12 PM EDT, to November 4, 12 PM EDT. The Dragos CTF will offer a new set of challenges for all levels of industrial cybersecurity expertise. The CTF will be held online and is accessible to all.
What’s Unique About the Dragos CTF?
The Dragos CTF has been developed to expose players to industrial control systems (ICS) through puzzles, with a heavy slant toward defense and forensic concepts. These puzzles could range from ICS-protocol PCAP analysis, engineering software Windows event log analysis, as well as PLC programming and logic file analysis. Some of these activities are taken from playbooks of threat groups, while others are influenced by Dragos’s customer engagements and experience. Dragos labs are also built on various real-world cyber ranges, including our brewery located at Dragos HQ.
If you’ve played in a Dragos CTF before, we have refactored many of our older puzzles and expanded the game with both easier and more complex challenges. Read about last year’s CTF event.
Who Should Play?
Whether it’s your first time tackling a cybersecurity competition or you’re a more seasoned practitioner, the Dragos CTF is designed to be approachable, educational, and steadily increase in difficulty to challenge anyone in the ICS/OT community. Because it’s running continuously for two full days, players can join on their own schedule, no matter where they are in the world.
How Do I Register for the Dragos CTF?
Again, registration for the Dragos CTF at DISC 2022 is accessible to all. You can learn more about and register for the event at: dragos.com/disc-ctf. We look forward to seeing you in cyber space!
