Christopher Winters serves as the General Counsel of Dragos. With nearly three decades of legal experience in the technology sector, Chris oversees Dragos’s legal and compliance functions, guiding the company through the complex regulatory landscape that shapes OT cybersecurity and the protection of critical infrastructure.
Chris brings a proven record of building and scaling legal functions inside high-growth software companies. He most recently served as General Counsel and Secretary of Appian Corporation for a decade, leading the company’s legal, contracting, and compliance functions through its 2017 initial public offering, multiple capital raises, and sustained growth as a publicly traded company. Before Appian, he was General Counsel of Applied Predictive Technologies, where he guided the company’s IPO preparation and the process behind its $600 million sale. His practice spans corporate governance, intellectual property, licensing, and complex commercial transactions, with a business-focused approach that pairs rigorous risk management with practical guidance.
Earlier in his career, Chris served as Deputy General Counsel of CoStar Group, Inc., a fast growing real estate information and software company, and before that was in private law practice.
