Senior Detection Engineer
Amy Ressler is a Senior Detection engineer at the industrial cybersecurity company Dragos, Inc, where she is using both her offensive and defense background on the Research and Development team to perform industrial research, build detections, and help safeguard civilization.
Amy has had many lives as an analyst and engineer in the information security/cybersecurity space. Beginning her career as a signals analyst for the Department of Defense and learning computer networking in setting up a digital signals processing lab, Amy parlayed that experience into career of picking up various skills and experiences from different roles and in both government and the tech industry.
Prior to Dragos, Amy was a technical writer and technical instructor for proprietary government processing and analysis systems, a network exploitation and vulnerability analyst and instructor of various technical analysis courses at the Department of Defense National Cryptologic School, a customer and security operations manager at a managed bug bounty startup in Silicon Valley, a consultant and subject matter expert on analysis to various customers in Department of Defense, and a Technical Director of a contract and DoD program at Booz Allen Hamilton. While a consultant, senior technologist, and leader at Booz Allen, Amy also participated in a technical innovation program where she led and participated in projects focused on security and privacy research. Immediately prior to joining Dragos, Amy worked primarily as a Cybersecurity Defense Engineer at McAfee.
When not in Wireshark, Amy can be found climbing things inside and outside, running around in the woods, and/or consuming some form of pop culture.
